About / Origin

Merry Adinhas spent most of her lifeon a stage.

She began singing at five, growing up in a musical family where performing wasn't something you watched from the sidelines. She learned drums from her brother, developed her voice alongside her sister and father, and continued her formal musical training through vocal instructors and professors. Her talent eventually earned her a music scholarship to the University of Nevada, Reno.

The turning point

By 1987, Merry was already working professionally. Within two years she was on the road, singing and playing drums in a touring cover band. Session work and commercial jingles followed.

Then shepicked upa bass.

What began as another musical challenge became the instrument that would define much of her career. Merry learned from bass players wherever the road took her, developing a style built around groove, personality and performance.

Influences Paul McCartney, Sting, Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, Verdine White, Doug Pinnick, Kip Winger and Michael Anthony.

The road continues

Over the years, Merry has performed with an extraordinary range of artists and projects, including Sammy Hagar, The Mighty Mitch Perry, Thomas McClary of The Commodores, Berlin, Bad Company, Kansas, Mark Farner, Tanya Tucker and Shawn Stockman, along with numerous touring, tribute and original acts.

Today, she remains what she's always been: a bassist, vocalist and live performer who belongs on a stage.
